Kim Delaney was an American actress from America. The actress is best known for her role as detective Diane Russell, in the ABC series NYPD Blue. For this she won the Emmy Award. Her appearances include All My Children Philly CSI: Miami & Army Wives. Delaney was the sole child of the United Auto Workers executive and his wife who was a housewife. Her childhood was spent within a household that included four brothers. While she was a small girl, Delaney hoped to work as a reporter in the courtroom.
